High Protein Travel Oatmeal (Vegan)

For more like this, check out all of my Food & Recipe Posts

This oatmeal is my go-to meal every time I’m traveling. I’ve eaten it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner! When I’m on an airplane for hours or when I get to a city really late and no restaurants are open (or if I am saving money and don’t want to spend $$$ on food) this stuff has saved my life!!!

I usually make a few bags of this oatmeal before my trips. I like to have at least 2 or 3 with me at all times when traveling, just incase of a food emergency!

Only 4 ingredients!!!!

1 packet of instant oatmeal

1 packet of plant-based protein power

I love Genuine Health protein packets! They’re perfect for traveling, low in calories, high in protein, and fermented for digestive health! Buy some online here!

**For a little less protein, but a lot more fiber – I also like to use hemp protein!

1 tbsp chia seeds

1 packet of mixed nuts and dried fruit

I have tried a lot of different mixed nut/dried fruit packets and this one is my favorite. Omega-3 mix by Orchard Valley. I found it at Target.

I put all the ingredients into a plastic bag for easy access when on the go (it also takes up less space than carrying around all the separate bags)

Mix it up

When you’re hungry, just pull out your bag of oatmeal, pour it into a travel container (if I didn’t bring a container, I eat this out of paper cups all the time)

Add hot water

-if you’re on a plane, ask your flight attendant for hot water

-if you’re in a hotel, I always use the coffee makers to make it. Don’t add a bag of coffee and just put your container/cup of oatmeal where you usually put the pot or cup for coffee.

Enjoy!!

Pro-Tip: Always carry plastic utensils with you!
